Please join us for a roundtable discussion with Jon Heining, Special Counsel for the Texas Legislative Council, on Thursday, March 27th at the Texas Medical Association (1st Floor, Thompson Conference Room). Box lunches will be provided beginning at 11:30 a.m. and the presentation will begin promptly at 12:00 p.m.

We have asked Jon to discuss the following topics, however, please let us know if there are other areas you would like him to touch on:

• TLC 101: defining the "client" relationship TLC has with the members of the legislature and the presiding officers and how does it operate in terms of confidentiality, lobby input, etc.

• The Council's bill drafting, delivery and printing processes

• Code recodification in light of Fleming Foods case (Click here to see the current code projects)
• Overview of services provided through Texas Legislature Online

While roundtables are typically reserved for individual PAAT members, because in many cases TLC-related activities are staff driven, your staff is welcome to attend this session so please pass this notice around your office.
